Portland based, Psychedelic Folk Pop band, Mama Sam & The Jam lifts vibrations and gives goosebumps. Like Mazzy Star meets Fleetwood Mac, catchy melodies and powerful harmonies over trippy guitar and groovy beats leaves listeners feeling high on vibes.

The Jam features musicians like Carmen Paradise, Nick Foltz, Justine Renee, Rachael Curtin and Mike Wiser. Mama Sam is a soulful songwriter who sings lead and plays guitar.

The band released their first E.P., “Hearing is Hard” at the end of 2019 with producer Sean Flora. During Covid, Mama Sam recorded and released an E.P. with Ryan Oxford called “Home” in 2021. MSATJ are set to release their first LP in 2026 on VLVT.
